13th Annual 24 Hours of Great Glen : What's New for 2008
Each year, we try to make the 24 Hours of Great Glen better and better. Here's what you can expect for 2008:
Registration:
No registration after Tuesday, August 5. Period. No Friday registration. No day of registration. You know you're going to race, why wait?!?!?
Bib Pickup:
Under the main tent both Friday & Saturday. No more bib pickup inside this year.
NiteRider on the Scene:
NiteRider will be on scene both days with lights, charging stations and give-a-ways. Look for 15 H.I.D. systems and 20 halogen systems available for rental on a first come first serve basis. The rental fees are $75.00 per H.I.D. system and $50.00 for the halogen. If you fall in love with your NiteRider rental system, you can apply your rental fee towards its purchase.
Camp Decorations:
Crew 24 is turning into exterior decorators! All the cottages and the campground hosts' "compound" will be decorated. We're calling all the racers to step it up! Bring one team to race, and one team to decorate. Awards for the best team costume and best team campsite.
One Huge Tent:
In the past, we've had two tents: a big one and a smallish one. Well, this year, we're bringing everything under one huge tent. This will make everything a lot smoother and easier. You'll have more space to relax while you wait for your teammate, and it will be easier to follow the race standings.
